Last winter, on a misty cold morning I drove beyond the bridges of Portland into North Plains for a backyard sunrise engagement shoot. While winding my way down backroads of loose gravel to meet Natasha and Jim for the first time I couldn't help but to wonder what this couple would be like. Upon my arrival Natasha and Jim met me outside and I was immediately certain that this was the kind of couple that makes my job as a photographer worth every minute. Natasha and Jim simply exude a warmth and kindness that is heartening. After a wonderful morning shoot Natasha and Jim invited me into their cozy home for coffee and we chatted about the wedding to come. As I drove a way from their magical home in the woods I knew that I already couldn't wait for their wedding to come.
The wedding day of Natasha and Jim was a true whirlwind of excitement filled with friends, family, memories, and love. Natasha's eyes sparkled with every glance at Jim. With every embrace Jim revealed his absolute affection for Natasha. All who gathered cheered as Natasha and Jim promised forever to one another. And by the end of the night Natasha and Jim shared the love once more with a very special (planned) bouquet toss. After lining all of the ladies up, Natasha turned around and walked over to her best friend, Marci. Seconds after Marci was handed the bouquet the crowd cheered in amazement as a proposal took place. With so much love to share, knowing Natasha and Jim is a true blessing.
